Location, Location, Location
These pictures were taken where main scenes take place, such as the living room, the stairs, the protagonists room dining room and the front door. These pictures were helpful in deciding where to place the actors, props and the camera itself.

flooring it...
These floorplans where created using Microsoft word, I used the shapes to create several locations in my short film. The blue is the plan for the living room where the girl decorates with birthday memorabilia. From my plan I can see that the door swings from the right to the left.
The orange plan is the plan for the dining room, where the soft toy party tea happens. In this I was able to see how many seats and thus soft toys I needed to use.
The green plan is length-wise as it is the plan for the hallway that the girl walks up and down several times throughout the piece. The green slices at the far left and right of this plan represent where the staircase ends and a bookshelf.
The pink plan is the floorplan for the protagonist's room. There is a chair infornt of a desk that sits infornt of a window. The largest shape is the bed. The blue circle on top of the pink square symbolises an alarm clock on top of a bedside table.
These plans, as well as the location pictures help me to place the people, props and most importantly the camera and tripod.
